Swans 2 - 0 Fulham
Swans hero Michel Vorm received a standing ovation from the Jack Army as he left the Liberty Stadium having secured his team another three crucial Premier League points.
The popular ‘keeper arrived from his native Holland in the close season with the nickname ‘Penalty Killer’ after some sensational saves from the spot.
And he hammered home those credentials again with a fantastic penalty save to deny Clint Dempsey a late Fulham equaliser.
Vorm’s second penalty save of the season came at a crucial time in the clash after
Scott Sinclair had fired the Swans into the lead in the 56th minute.
That lead looked like being cruelly wiped out after Jazz Richards was harshly penalised for bringing down Kerim Frei inside the area five minutes from time.
But after Vorm sprang into action to deny Dempsey, striker Danny Graham pounced on a Mark Gower corner deep into injury time to send the Swans soaring up to 11th.
Michel is one of the best goalkeepers in the Premier League,’’ beamed Swans boss Brendan Rodgers.
